Closes#34390
This PR fixes several Bash indentation issues:
- Adding indentation or comment using multi cursors no longer breaks
relative indentation
- Adding newline now places the cursor at the correct indent
- Typing a valid keyword triggers context-aware auto outdent
It also adds tests for all of them.
Release Notes:
- Fixed various issues with handling indentation in Bash.
Closes#28414
Makes it so that `do`, `then`, `done`, `else`, etc are treated as
brackets in bash. They are not auto-closed *yet* as that requires
additional work to function properly, however they can now be toggled
between using `%` in vim. Additionally, newlines are inserted like they
are with regular brackets (`{}()[]""''`) when hitting enter between
them.
While `if <-> fi` `while/for <-> done` and `case <-> esac` are the
*logical* matching pairs, I've opted to instead match between `then <->
else/elif/fi` `do <-> done` and `in <-> esac` as these are the pairs
that delimit the sub-scope, and are more similar to the `{}` style
bracket pairs than `if <-> }` in a c-like syntax. This does cause some
wierd behavior with `else` in `if` expressions as it matches both with
the previous `then` as well as the following `fi`, so in this case
```bash
if true; then
foo
else
bar
f|i
```
after hitting `%` twice times (where cursor is `|`), the cursor will end
up on the `then` instead of back on the `fi` as hitting `%` on the else
will *always* navigate up to the `then`
Release Notes:
- vim: Improved behavior around word-based delimiters in bash (`do <->
done`, `then <-> fi`, etc) so they can be toggled between using `%`
`APKBUILD` files are similar to `PKGBUILD` used by arch linux, but are
used to build alpine linux packages:
https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/APKBUILD_Reference
Release Notes:
- Added recognition for `APKBUILD` files as "Shell Script".
- Fixes auto-indent issues around `elif` caused by auto-indent being prevented due to syntax errors generated before `elif` clause completed
Release Notes:
- Fixed an issue where inserting an elif before an else in bash would
not properly auto-indent

Creates an indents.scm file for bash and adds regexes for
`{increase,decrease}_indent_pattern` in
`crates/languages/src/bash/config.toml`
so that autoindent works as expected in bash
Note that this PR does not attempt to handle all cases where indenting
might be desired in bash. I am aiming to support ~80% of what people
want while avoiding the more gnarly/edge cases like indented blocks in
case statements and indenting for associative arrays.
This is done with the explicit hope that someone (possibly from the
community) more familiar with and passionate about bash can come through
at a later date and handle those cases
Closes#23628
Release Notes:
- Add basic support for autoindent functionality in bash/shell files
[PKGBUILD] is a file used in the build system of arch linux, and it is
basically just a bash script with special functions.
Release Notes:
- Changed `PKGBUILD` files to be recognized as bash.
Introducing the Active File Context portion of #9705. When someone is in
the assistant panel it now includes the active file as a system message
on send while showing them a nice little display in the lower right:

For this iteration, I'd love to see the following before we land this:
* [x] Toggle-able context - user should be able to disable sending this
context
* [x] Show nothing if there is no context coming in
* [x] Update token count as we change items
* [x] Listen for a more finely scoped event for when the active item
changes
* [x] Create a global for pulling a file icon based on a path. Zed's
main way to do this is nested within project panel's `FileAssociation`s.
* [x] Get the code fence name for a Language for the system prompt
* [x] Update the token count when the buffer content changes
I'm seeing this PR as the foundation for providing other kinds of
context -- diagnostic summaries, failing tests, additional files, etc.
Release Notes:
- Added file context to assistant chat panel
([#9705](https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/9705)).

- Moves languages module from `zed` into a separate crate. That way we
have less of a long pole at the end of compilation.
- Removes moot dependencies on editor/picker. This is totally harmless
and might help in the future if we decide to decouple picker from
editor.
Before:
```
Number of crates that depend on 'picker' but not on 'editor': 1
Total number of crates that depend on 'picker': 13
Total number of crates that depend on 'editor': 30
```
After:
```
Number of crates that depend on 'picker' but not on 'editor': 5
Total number of crates that depend on 'picker': 12
Total number of crates that depend on 'editor': 26
```
The more crates depend on just picker but not editor, the better in that
case.
